On Monday, we had a brilliant time with the Pop up Play Village! The children loved exploring all the different role play areas, including a construction site, hospital, baby nursery and campsite. It was wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they worked together, took on different roles, and used lots of great language in their play. The village gave everyone the chance to be creative, problem solve and have lots of fun.
On Friday we took part in Wear Red Day 2025 to show our support for anti-racism and to stand together against discrimination. By wearing red, we helped raise awareness and showed that everyone should be treated with kindness, respect and fairness. It was a great opportunity to talk about the importance of equality and celebrating our differences.

This week has been full of exciting learning experiences In Year 1 and 2! We had a fantastic time working together during our team-building activities in Forest School, where we learned how to cooperate, problem solve and have fun outdoors.
Harvest Assembly
We also enjoyed a wonderful Harvest Assembly with the other children from Key Stage 1 and Foundation, celebrating all the things we're thankful for. It was lovely to sing and celebrate with so many of our families there with us and we very much enjoyed performing the songs that we have been learning with our music teacher Mrs Butlin. The donations for the local food bank were amazing and they were very grateful to receive so much food. It is nice to make a difference to our local community.
Back in the classroom, we have been busy with lots of fun activities that are helping us grow and learn in different ways and we cannot wait for more
adventures next week !

English:
This week, In English, we have started learning about the story of the Three Little Pigs. We started this unit of work by creating houses for the pigs using a wide variety of construction toys such as Lego, Duplo and wooden blocks. It was a lot of fun working as a team and finding out which houses were suitable for the pigs.
Forest School:
On Friday we had another lovely time at Forest School with Mrs Edwards using our senses to play hide and seek. The forest animals came to join in with our games and we worked on the school value 'Be Responsible'.
