and it did not fail this year! We are beyond proud of the children and their resilience
to perform in front of over fifty people for each show! Well done Nursery and
Foundation!
The children have also been busy this week following instructions to make their own Christmas decorations, we hope you have liked the angels and handprint father Christmas'

cotton balls and then splash disappeared last night and we found her in Mrs
Waring's pocket in assembly!!!
In English this week the children explored the Christmas
Story. They then sequenced the story into their books using some amazing oracy
skills! The children's vocabulary is really progressing well.

in different ways, for instance 3+1= 4 but 2+ 2 = 4 too!
This week the children have also made Nativity scenes, designed
and decorated their own Christmas tree and Christmas jumper, made a manager and
stable from building blocks and Lego and so much more!

We have been practicing shoulder, arm, hand and finger
strength by doing lots of gross and fine motor skills activities. Having
strength is really important to be an amazing writer. So in English this week
the children have been showing Mrs Phillips how amazing they are at holding
their pencils with the correct tripod grip, we will continue to practice this
lots. The children have drawn a picture of The Little Red Hen, in their books
and then used oral blending and letter recognition to write a key word like
/hen/ or /red/.
On Tuesday we had Remembrance Day, and all our activities
were based on the day. We learnt and explored what this day meant, and we all
stood to take part in the two-minute silence, which all the children did

This week we have been finalising our English unit. Children
have been discussing adults that can help us at school and within our
community. Children decided to try and
find Mrs. Waring, Mr Smith, Brian and Mrs. Juleff as they help us in school, so
we went on an 'adult hunt' to find them. On Thursday we completed the second
part and went for a walk to Looe Town to find adults that help us in our
community. The children discussed who helps us in our community and why. The
children found a member of the RNLI, a Fish Monger, a Pharmacist and a Postman.
They discussed how all these adults help us and are all superheroes in their
own right! We then became superheroes ourselves and cleared a part of Looe
beach from plastic!
