Our Safeguarding Staff

At Looe Primary Academy, ensuring the safeguarding of all members of our school community is given the highest priority.
As a member of Bridge Schools, we follow the Trust’s safeguarding policy.

Please see our Safeguarding Policy page for more information on our working practices and description of following roles.

At Looe Primary Academy, the context of the school means that staff training considers safeguarding children in coastal areas, understanding concerns that may be raised right from pre-school age and involves working very closely with other agencies such as Early Help Hub and Police. Staff are vigilant when visitors arrive and of security measures relevant to the school's unique physical layout and location. Looe is a single site school, and there are Level 3 trained staff to cover all aspects of school life, including the nursery provision within our building. both the nursery provision and main school have Level 3 safeguarding trained staff. All visitors MUST report to the school reception to sign in and are required to be aware of our safeguarding designated officers and Level 1 policy..
