Class Blog for Year 6 BH

Remember to have a break from your screens

You have all been amazing during your home learning. I have been enjoying it but I have found that my eyes are hurting from being on a screen much more so please make sure you take time away from screens and make sure you get outdoors and have some fun which doesn't involve a laptop, phone, ipad or xbox/playstation.

Home Learning Timetable

Back to home learning we go...

Here is the timetable for each day (the only day that is different is a Friday as this will remain a half day so we will finish for the day at 12:10).

Following this routine will really help you to continue being amazing with your learning.

Crop Circles

In outdoor learning, we have have been using natural resources to make our own crop circles to link to our curriculum learning about space. They designed their own crop circles first and then created them.

Textiles-making constellations

Year 6 not only learnt stitching techniques but they also learnt the art of patience. Each child made their own constellation using stitching techniques and they realised it was trickier than it looked. They all looked amazing!

WOW home learning

Let's get creative Year 6!

Don't forget to make your own gingerbread house for your creative home learning.

This can be baking or using cardboard resources but we want you to have fun with your family and enjoy spending time together.

Please either bring it in for us to see or email over a photo to

Practise SATs week

Well done Year 6 at your first practise SATs week. We know this can be scary but this will be a good experience and will ease your nerves by the time we get to May. We will now look at what are our key learning areas to focus on.
